Brief description
This report has been prepared in response to a commitment made at the Agricultural Finance Forum held in Canberra on 23 September 2014. The report has been developed by the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES) in consultation with the Australian Bankers' Association (ABA) and the National Farmers' Federation (NFF).This report provides a snapshot of the current level of farm debt in the northern Queensland gulf region, south west Queensland and north western New South Wales. The report has been prepared using data provided by ABARES, the ABA, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) and the Queensland Gulf Cattlemen's Association.
