Brief description Excess salt consumption has been identified as a leading cause of ill health and a priority area for action. Australia and most other countries around the world have signed up to the 30% reduction in mean population salt intake recommended by the World Health Organisation, but the strategies that will be used to achieve this goal remain to be decided. This Centre will address the design, implementation, evaluation and roll out of real-world food policy interventions targeting salt reduction.
