Brief description
The RAW Water Quality Data is collected under The State Water Quality Assessment and Monitoring Project (SWAMP). The State Water Quality Assessment and Monitoring Project (SWAMP) is a state wide project responsible for collecting, analysing and reporting the ambient water quality condition of rivers in NSW.SWAMP collects water quality data monthly to:
-\tassess ambient river water quality in terms of electrical conductivity, temperature, turbidity, total suspended solids, pH, dissolved oxygen, phosphorus and nitrogen at selected sites across NSW
-\tprovide high quality, long term, statistically robust data to enable condition and trend reporting
-\tprovide data to enable measures of compliance with state and national guidelines and standards, and
-\tprovide a framework of river water quality monitoring across NSW upon which other programs can build.
This data is then used for:
-\tBasin Technical Reports
-\tMatter 12 Reports
-\tRiver Condition Index
-\tWater Quality Index
