RAW Water Quality Data

Brief description

The RAW Water Quality Data is collected under The State Water Quality Assessment and Monitoring Project (SWAMP). The State Water Quality Assessment and Monitoring Project (SWAMP) is a state wide project responsible for collecting, analysing and reporting the ambient water quality condition of rivers in NSW.

SWAMP collects water quality data monthly to:

-\tassess ambient river water quality in terms of electrical conductivity, temperature, turbidity, total suspended solids, pH, dissolved oxygen, phosphorus and nitrogen at selected sites across NSW

-\tprovide high quality, long term, statistically robust data to enable condition and trend reporting

-\tprovide data to enable measures of compliance with state and national guidelines and standards, and

-\tprovide a framework of river water quality monitoring across NSW upon which other programs can build.

This data is then used for:
-\tBasin Technical Reports
-\tMatter 12 Reports
-\tRiver Condition Index
-\tWater Quality Index
