The multispectral images were mosaiced in ERDAS to form a single image. The panchromatic images were mosaiced in ERDAS to form a single image. The mosaiced images were georeferenced from the satellite ephemeris data. The accuracy achieved was +/- 23m. Multispectral Quickbird images have a pixel resolution of +/-2.4m while panchromatic Quickbird images have a resolution of +/-0.6m. The mosaiced images were combined to produce a higher resolution colour image known as a pan sharpened image. To produce the pan sharpened image the following parameters were used: Method - Brovey Transform, Resampling Technique - Cubic Convolution, Data Type - Unsigned 16 bit. The pixel resolution of the pan sharpened image is 0.6m. Mosaiced pan sharpened Quickbird image of the Grove Mountains.

This image was derived from Quickbird satellite imagery captured on 14 January 2003.

Multispectral Quickbird images have a pixel resolution of +/-2.4m while panchromatic Quickbird images have a resolution of +/-0.6m. The mosaiced images were combined to produce a higher resolution colour image known as a pan sharpened image.
