Queensland Department of Primary Industries Insect Collection (QDPC) has approximately 1.5 million specimens, roughly 100,000 of which are true fruit flies (Diptera: Tephritidae). It is the largest collection of insects of economic importance in Queensland, the largest collection of Tephritidae in the southern hemisphere and, very likely, the largest collection of dacine fruit flies in the world.
