Brief description This project aims to demonstrate the feasibility of detecting preoperatively the presence of metastatic deposits in regional lymph nodes in head and neck cancer using immuno-PET imaging. If successfully translated to the clinic, this novel imaging assisted cancer surgery modality will have major benefits for patients, sparing ~2500 unnecessary neck dissection (in Australia/year), improving staging accuracy and in turn improving treatment selection.
