Brief description Dysexecutive syndrome is a pernicious disorder of planning and action control induced by a variety of conditions affecting brain function. Prior research has focused on correcting frontal lobe function however recent research suggests that the critical deficit lies in a cortical-subcortical circuit linking prefrontal cortex with the dorsal striatum. This project with investigate the structure and function of this circuit at a cellular and systems level to provide new targets for treatment.
