Researchers: Dr Emily Kerr (Principal investigator)

Brief description I will develop a point-of-care test for the diagnosis and management of chronic kidney disease (CKD). This test will target novel CKD biomarkers that are present at early stages, facilitating early intervention and reducing the burden of CKD on the Australian healthcare system. When combined with in-home dialysis and health informatics this device has the potential to revolutionise the experience of CKD patients from remote areas by reducing travel time for testing and appointments.
