PHIDU - Admissions - By Procedures (LGA) 2017-2018

Brief description

This dataset, released June 2020, contains data relating to hospital admissions during 2017-2018 by the following procedures: tonsillectomy, myringotomy (ages 0-9), hysterectomy (ages 30-59), Caesarean section (ages 15-44), delivery birth (ages 15-44), coronary artery bypass graft, coronary angioplasty, cardiac catheterisation, hip fracture, knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, and colonoscopy. The data is by Local Government Area (LGA) 2016 geographic boundaries.

Source: Compiled by PHIDU using data from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, supplied on behalf of Stateand Territory health departments for 2017/18; and the average of the ABS Estimated Resident Population, 30 June 2017 and 30 June 2018.
