This primary school first opened as Tarranyurk State School No. 3121 on 18 August 1891. The name of the school was later changed to Pepper’s Plains.

The school originally operated out of a building used for Baptist church services and other community meetings. 

The Department had a permanent school building constructed in 1921, situated a few hundred metres west of the original building. 

From 1928 to 31 March 1929, the school operated part-time with Tarranyurk South State School No. 3087, after which it went full-time again. In 1951, the school was unstaffed.

Pepper’s Plains Primary School closed permanently on 31 May 1955.
