This project provides essential fish health diagnostic and health certification services to the pearling industry. These assist in the operation and development of the industry. Main activities within the project include:* to provide a diagnostic service for health related issues to the silverlip pearling industry;
* to undertake hatchery certification in accordance with the Pearl Oyster Translocation Protocol, Ministerial Guidelines and instructions from PIAC;
* to provide translocation health certification for the pearling industry; and
* to reduce risk of disease transfer from silverlip pearl oysters to other wild and farmed molluscs
