Full description
Magnetars are neutron stars with intense magnetic fields that undergo rapid rotation. The observation of their radio pulses carries great scientific significance. With the high sensitivity and wide frequency coverage of the Parkes telescope, we propose to search for radio pulse signals of the magnetar SGR J1833-0832 and (if detected) conduct a detailed analysis of its pulse characteristics, radio flux density, and polarization. This project will contribute significantly to advancing our understanding of magnetars' magnetic field structure, radiation mechanisms, and polarization phenomena.Available: 2024-01-10
