Brief description
We propose observations with the ultra-wide-bandwidth, low frequency receiver (UWL) installed at the Parkes telescope to study a sample of pulsars known to exhibit mode changing phenomenon. The wide frequency range of the UWL receiver, along with the well-calibrated system, allowed us to obtain flux density measurements and polarization pulse profiles. The mode switch pattern in a wide frequency range will be obtained and can confirm whether this effect is dependent on observation frequency. The properties of polarization profiles of different modes in wide frequency will be studied. We will also obtain the spectrum of different modes, and compare spectral indexes of different modes for these mode changing pulsars. Our observations will allow us to constrain the physics origins of the mode changing phenomenon.Available: 2022-08-30
