Brief description
We will observe a brown dwarf star, TVLM 513-46546, using the Parkes ultra-wide-bandwidth receiver. This will allow us to understand the spectral energy distribution of the radio pulses that repeat every 2 hours. This source is detectable at 4 GHz (the top end of the Parkes receiver band), but is not detectable at 1.4 GHz (near the bottom end). We will therefore be able to determine where the cut-off occurs. We will also continue the long-term monitoring of this source, which is now known to have a companion Saturn-mass planet.Available: 2021-10-14
