We propose a survey with UWL of the EMU/POSSUM Early Science field in Scorpio, covering the full ASKAP band (700-1800 MHz), at 1 MHz resolution suitable for RM synthesis and RFI rejection. This will enable correct mapping of the large-scale Galactic emission in the field, enhancing many aspects of the Early Science return.The Parkes survey will cover 6 degrees of longitude by 12 of latitude, c.f. 5.5 degree square for the ASKAP field, in order to clearly establish the baseline against which the Galactic ridge is measured. The technical aim is to confirm suitability of Parkes/UWL to provide short-spacing data for ASKAP, and commission the software to achieve this.Available: 2025-07-16
