Brief description Injury is a leading cause of death and disability in children and adolescents, and can have lifelong effects for survivors. This study will quantify how well children recover from injury, and how long this takes, to establish better measures of the population impact of injury sustained in childhood and adolescence. The findings will be used to inform future health and social policy concerning primary prevention of injury in childhood and adolescence and the provision of services after injury.
