P1128 - Monitoring of a new elusive eclipsing redback in NGC 6397

Also known as: P1128

Brief description Globular clusters (GCs) are a fertile environment for searching for millisecond pulsars (MSPs) as their ultra-dense cores favor the formation of various types of binary systems suitable for spinning up the neutron stars that they host. The importance of the study of MSPs in GCs has been discussed by many authors, and includes studying stellar and binary evolution, the gravitational potential of the GC, the dynamical interactions in the GC core, the interstellar medium and its magnetization, the possible intracluster medium and more.
