Full description

Data from moorings that were in place for at least 6 months in deep water and include meteorological data, pressure records and temperature records gathered by the Oregon State University (OSU) Buoy Group over a span of more than 35 years. In addition, included are a number of electronic (i.e., browser-formatted) data reports.

This dataset relates to current meter records from the Peru continental shef Joint 2, 1976 - 7977.

Lineage

Statement: All of the current data were recorded by Aanderaa RCM4 and RCM5 current meters. The meteorological data were recorded by Aanderaa dataloggers. Accessions 8013 through 8023 were recorded by meteorological buoys that measured wind speed, wind direction and air temperature at a height of about 2 meters, and surface water temperature.
