Data from moorings that were in place for at least 6 months in deep water and include meteorological data, pressure records and temperature records gathered by the Oregon State University (OSU) Buoy Group over a span of more than 35 years. In addition, included are a number of electronic (i.e., browser-formatted) data reports.

This dataset relates to current meter records from the current meter records from the Continental Shelf Project, PSU's earliest use of moored current meters, 1967-68.

Statement: Accession 8024, the geostrophic wind, was computed from pressure gradients at 45N, 125W. Accession 8025 is an observed wind measured at the Coast Guard observation tower on the north side of the entrance to Yaquina Bay at Newport, Oregon.
