The Orbost Sewerage District was proclaimed and the Orbost Sewerage Authority (VA 2015) constituted on 29 March 1951.The first meeting of the Authority was held on 13 August 1951. The second meeting was held on 8 March 1960. Sewerage works commenced on 2 March 1966.
Abolition
In 1994, the Authority was abolished and its function was transferred to the East Gippsland Region Water Authority (VA 4237) from 1 January 1995.
