Brief description Depression is common among persons with chronic medical conditions such as heart disease, leading to substantial morbidity burden and healthcare costs. Health outcomes can be optimised through a multidisciplinary model of healthcare known as collaborative care, however, in practice the treatment of depression is largely independent of cardiology and primary care. This TRIP Fellowship aims to improve depression identification and treatment in heart disease patients using collaborative care.
