Brief description Each year there are more than 500 million episodes of malaria and over a million deaths. One of the main causes of this burden is inadequate treatment of young children and pregnant women. This project will improve research methods for determining effective treatment for all malaria patients, which in turn, will improve cure rates and slow the emergence and spread of drug resistance.
