Brief description

## **Abstract**

This dataset was supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and is presented here as originally supplied. Metadata was not provided and has been compiled by the Bioregional Assessment Programme based on the known details at the time of acquisition.

Hand digitised mine layout and rail infrastructure proposed for the Carmichael Coal Mine and Rail Project developed by Adani Mining Pty Ltd. Shapefiles were hand digitised from the QLD State Government report: Carmichael Coal Mine and Rail project: Coordinator-General's evaluation report on the environmental impact statement, May 2014 (PDF saved within the dataset).

## **Purpose**

This dataset provides a digitised spatial representation of the Mine (onsite) and the Rail (offsite) features of the Adani Mining Pty Ltd, Carmichael Coal Mine and Rail Project. The data have been used initially to create a figure in the Galilee Coal and Coal Seam Gas Resource Assessment (Product 1.2). It may also be used as an input for the regional groundwater numerical model of the Galilee Basin subregion for Bioregional Assessments.

## **Dataset History**

Data has been digitised by hand from Figure 2.2 (page 7) of the QLD State Government report: Carmichael Coal Mine and Rail project: Coordinator-General's evaluation report on the environmental impact statement, May 2014 (Copy of PDF saved within the dataset). The digitised dataset was georectified using graticules and drainage as reference points. The Mine (onsite) feature was then hand digitised as a polygon shapefile (Adani_mining_Pty_Ltd_2012.shp) and the Rail (offsite) feature hand digitised as polyline shapefile (Adani_mining_Pty_Ltd_2012_Line.shp)
