[Cite as https://purl.org/au-research/grants/nhmrc/GNT1159749]Brief description Lymphoma is a blood cancer of lymphocytes, which results from uncontrolled growth and survival. The advent of DNA sequencing revealed that many lymphomas carry concurrent mutations in two signalling molecules, MYD88 and CD79B. The project will investigate how these mutant proteins cooperatively dysregulate signalling to understand the pathogenesis of this disease. It will also reinforce the rationale to use front-line drugs and identify new therapeutic targets.
