Brief description

This dataset contains over 10,000 indexed records of obituaries found in Western Australian newspapers, newsletters and journals from the mid-1800s to early 2010s. The records were created by Library staff from the State Library of Western Australia (SLWA) between 1997 and 2014.

Information captured includes:
•\tthe deceased’s name
•\tyear of birth and death
•\ta title and summary of the obituary
•\tthe publication title and date it was printed in
•\tthe page number the obituary appears on
