Brief description

This dataset contains geochemical assay data collected by companies exploring in NSW. The data is sourced from a number of different exploration methods including; stream sediments, soil samples, rock chip samples and various types of drilling. Since 2000 the Department has required exploration companies to submit geochemical data digitally in standard reporting templates. Prior to this the data was submitted in hard copy reports. Data from both the digital templates and hard copy reports have been entered into an SQL database.
