Brief description Nonlinear optical phononics: harnessing sound and light in nonlinear nanoscale circuits. This project will open a new field of physics by building the first integration platform in which light and sound interact in nonlinear nanoscale circuits. This interaction will be harnessed for new signal processing applications, leading to dramatic improvements in microwave technologies for radar, communications and sensing at the nanoscale.
