Full description

This dataset contains the tracks of surface drifting buoys in the Australasian region, deployed as part of the Global Drifter Program (GDP). The GDP collects operational, near-real time surface velocity, sea surface temperature (SST), sea surface salinity, and sea level pressure observations (not presented here) for numerical weather forecasting, research, and in-situ calibration/verification of satellite observations.
