This dataset presents the footprint of the number of active participants with an approved plan in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The data is current as at 30 Sep 2021, includes quarterly snapshots beginning from Dec 2019, and is aggregated to Local Government Area (LGA) 2011. The geographical boundaries are sourced from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) website.\n\nThe National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent statutory agency. Their role is to implement the NDIS, which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.\n\nFor further information about this dataset, please visit the [NDIA.](https://data.ndis.gov.au/data-downloads)\n\nPlease note:\n\n\n\n * The State/Territory groupings are based on the participant's latest residential address.\n\n * The availability status of each LGA is based on the mapping between the LGA, NDIA Service Districts and the bilateral agreements to determine phase-in date for each LGA.\n\n\n AURIN has made the following changes to the original data:\n\n\n\n * The attribute names have been changed.\n\n * The data has been spatially enabled.\n\n * LGAs with '<11 participants' have been set to Null.\n\n\n
