Brief description

The NSW Government has set operational phase stormwater management targets to achieve waterway health objectives for protecting and restoring the blue-grid in the Wianamatta-South Creek catchment. The blue grid is made up of waterways, riparian vegetation communities, wetlands, and other water dependent ecosystems.

The role of the MUSIC MODELLING TOOLKIT - WIANAMATTA is to support:

1. approval and consent authorities in the assessment of State Significant Development (SSD), State Significant Infrastructure (SSI), development applications and modification applications, and

2. any practitioner, applicant or proponent involved in planning, design, approval, delivery and operation of water sensitive urban design strategies to achieve the stormwater management targets.

The MUSIC MODELLING TOOLKIT - WIANAMATTA contains Frequently Asked Questions, a document outlining key components of MUSIC modelling requirements, a calibrated MUSIC model file with source nodes suitable for use in the Wianamatta-South Creek catchment and a post processing excel spreadsheet to help assess whether the water sensitive urban design strategy achieves the operational phase stormwater targets.

The MUSIC MODELLING TOOLKIT - WIANAMATTA should be used in conjunction with the 'Technical guidance for achieving Wianamatta-South Creek stormwater management targets'
