The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) Crustacean Collection was established in 1981 and consists of about 19500 databased specimens and additional material that is not yet registered. The majority of the specimens have been collected from locations in Northern Australia. The collection includes 255 holotypes and over 415 paratype lots. Specimens can be lent to workers at other institutions upon application and the MAGNT also welcomes visiting researchers.
