Brief description

Processed X-ray Fluorescence maps for samples from the Moyagee Faults, Western Australia. Data are presented in a HDF5 format and consist of a 3D array of concentrations where 2 dimensions are spatial and the 3rd is a range of elements documented in the file. Also included are example red-green-blue composite maps (.png) of the datasets showing Fe (red), Rb (green) and Sr (blue) at full resolution.
Lineage: Data were collected using the CSIRO Maia Mapper at Kensington, WA. The instrument comprises an Excillum D2+ MetalJet X-ray source and a Maia 384 Array X-ray detector. Data were processed from raw spectra using the Dynamic Analysis method within the GeoPIXE software. Processing assumes a homogenous plagioclase matrix for quantification and a NIST1243 to convert X-ray counts to concentration.
