Full description
A folktale told by Maaria Goretti. This tells how the bird kaanaa (eagle) came to be. A mother and her young child went to the garden to harvest taro. The child becomes impatient and begins to cry. As she continues to pull out the last of the taro the child climbed a tree as it cries and begins to transform into a bird, the mother attempts to rescue her child but it flew away for it had become a bird (Eagle). The mother climbs back down from the tree crying and turns into an ant mound.. Language as given: Reuse Information
