Metcalfe East (Primary School No. 3658)

Full description

Metcalfe East State School No. 3658 opened on 1 September 1910.

The primary school was opened specifically to be worked part-time with Black Hill State School No. 1275, which had previously closed down. It reopened and the schools shared a teacher who taught at one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. 

In 1915 the Department decided to replace both schools with a new school in a more central location.
This became Langley State School No. 1275.

Metcalfe East Primary School closed on 17 July 1915.
