Sample collection:
All soils were collected in 2005 and stored at -80˚C prior to gDNA extraction using the FastDNA SPIN kit for soil (MP Biomedicals, NSW, Australia). Three soil samples were obtained from Mitchell Peninsula (66°31'S, 110°59'E) and three were obtained from Browning Peninsula (66°27'S, 110°32'E).
