The aim of this exploratory review is to look for patterns or commonalities in the information contained in the available documents held on a community organizations data base for men who have committed non-lethal strangulation against an intimate partner. This review will explore what factors may be shared by men who commit non-lethal strangulation in order to build a profile of those who are more likely to use NLS in their intimate partner relationships and in so doing contribute to risk assessment for treatment or containment strategies.
