Brief description This proposal aims to understand the aetiology by which obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is associated with an increased risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. The outcomes of our experiments will provide a clear understanding of the development of disease characteristics, and our results will therefore be directly relevant to diagnose, designing effective strategies to prevent and/or treat the the large population of OSA sufferers who are known to be at increased risk of developing dementia.
