Brief description

A global topography and bathymetry at 1 minute resolution, latitude range is limited at +/- 80.738. This netcdf version was produced by Richard Signell based on the original Smith&Sandwell v11.1. This estimate of seafloor topography was obtained from shipboard depth soundings combined with gravity data derived from satellite altimetry to produce a gridded representation of seafloor topography for all ice-free ocean areas.
