Brief description
Prof Mark HindellMy primary research interests are in the biology of marine mammals and seabirds, particularly with respect to Antarctic and sub-antarctic ecosystems. This research encompasses a variety of disciplines including energetics and metabolism, population dynamics and socio-ecology. I am currently running several major programmes including foraging ecology of Antarctic seals, biology of sub-antarctic seabirds (primarily penguins), cetacean studies in Tasmanian waters and ecology and management of Australian seals and seabirds.
