Brief description Macroalgal-driven feedbacks and the dynamics of coral reef ecosystems. Seaweed overgrowth poses one of the greatest threats to coral reefs. This project aims to understand the role of seaweeds in shaping ecological processes on degraded coral reefs. In doing so it will not only identify the processes that maintain and reinforce seaweed dominance on coral reefs, but also identify ways to reverse such states.
