Feature types were mapped in ESRI's ArcGIS by manually tracing along and around features using a stream digitising technique. The mapped data were converted to ArcInfo coverages. Coverage clean up and editing was performed using ArcEdit and ArcInfo. The coverages were built for lines. Attribute assignment and management was performed using ArcMap and conforms to the Australian Antarctic Data Centre's Feature Catalogue which includes Quality Information Records (see link below). The digitised data were mapped in UTM Zone 57 (WGS84) map projection and converted to geographicals on WGS84. The relative accuracy of the mapped features is +/-1.2m.
