Brief description This project will use media technology, methods of environmental science, and techniques of oral history to create an environmental portrait of the Shoalhaven River Valley. Environmental readings of the river water quality and adjoining land will be converted by specially designed software into visual and aural representations of the environment. These representations will be made available both to mobile phone devices for visitors to the area, and to a designated website for off-site visitors. Environmental science is communicated to the public using the means of visual and audio art, creating outcomes that can be applied to other environmental scenarios with implications for the national benefit.
