Full description

Traditionally searches for techno-signatures have utilised raw voltage data from single-dish radio telescopes or beam-formed data from radio arrays with relatively short baselines. We propose a short LBA observation as a pilot experiment to explore the options for utilising VLBI for SETI searches. Widely separated telescopes are naturally more immune to confusion from RFI sources, and the phase response from any detection can be used to distinguish terrestrial signals from distant emitters (past the moon).
