Lawloit State School No. 2673 opened on 14 July 1885.The primary school was located on a gazetted site on the south-west angle of the Lawloit township reserve.
From November 1893 the school was worked part-time with Lawloit North State School No. 3015. Then in 1900, Lawloit worked part-time with Lawloit West State School No. 3367 with both schools going back to full-time operations in 1904.
Lawloit Primary School closed on 17 March 1943.
