This table lists current and emerging practices of mapping and conceptualising vulnerability and resilience in urban systems with a focus on Australia. It provides links to the online source, a short description, and an indication of the publisher and likely audience.
The table classifies the practices/sources according to themes of interest and levels of focus. The set of documents can be searched according to the level of focus, ranging from individual to global level, including municipal, state and national levels, as well as relevant scales such as sub-metropolitan, neighbourhood and precinct. For ease of use, the repository was designed as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, where each scale is presented as a separate worksheet/tab.
This publication is part of the Practical Guidance Tool for Mapping Resilience and Vulnerabilities in Complex Urban Systems, which was produced for the project Natural Hazards and Resilience in Complex Urban Systems, funded by Natural Hazards Research Australia. It addresses the project objective of ‘develop[ing] guidance for local and state governments, emergency services and community organisations to conceptually map vulnerabilities and resilience within urban systems at local scales’.
