Full description

The Lambert Operations Area map was produced in 1994 by the Australian Surveying and Land Information Group for the Australian Antarctic Division's Glaciology traverse team. This GIS dataset was used to create the map.

Statement: All known features of the type shown were included as appropriate to the scale. The topographic data was based on the 1:1,000,000 map series dated 1971. Traverse data were sourced from the above map series and from the Lambert Basin Glaciological Traverse. The 2000 and 2500 metre contours were reinterpreted from data collected during the Lambert Basin Glaciological Traverse.
