Brief description
In September 2008 WAMSI led a field experiment over the Montgomery Reef (North Western Australia) including flight hyperspectral, trispectral and photographic imaging. The photos / imaging has been corrected for distortion and merged to create large composite images of the reef and surrounding water. The 184 images were used in western sub-set of the image (approx. 2m pixel) and 495 images for eastern sub-set of the image (approx. 1m pixel). These can be downloaded in 2 separate files - Western Reef (41.5MB) and Eastern Reef (160.2MB) from http://rssrg.ivec.org/static/montgomery/downloads.htmlFor answers to questions contact m.gray@curtin.edu.au
Lineage
Statement: This product is derived from original aerial downlooking digital imagery. Imagery is composited using a feature matching algorithm and corrected for photographic color distortion using a standard algorithm. Final color corrected and composited imagery is then deposited into a single tiff layer. For delivery via the website the final composited tiff image is tiled at various resolutions for display in a flash-based web tool
