Brief description

The effective management and use of data is a key strategic priority for the Department, as it enables us to identify student need and measure success at an individual student, programme, school and whole-of-system level. This is critical to improving educational outcomes for Tasmania, ensuring that funding is distributed according to student need and programmes and policies are developed and implemented appropriately to suit the requirements of all our students. We are committed to continuing to manage our data in the most effective way possible and most importantly to reflect, review, plan and implement initiatives across the state, including professional learning and resource support.
