Brief description

Joseph Henry Maiden (1859-1925) was a botanist, curator, plant and seed collector and public servant. Born in St John's Wood, London, in 1859, Maiden migrated to Sydney in 1880. He began writing on botanical subjects in 1887, and published a large number of botanical texts and illustrations on the plants and flora of Australia.
