The Joint Committee was established on 14 November 1987 following the discharge of the WorkCare Committee on 13 November 1987. The Committee was to inquire into and report upon all aspects of the operation of WorkCare legislation in Victoria, including its administration by the Accident Compensation Commission [VA 2732], the Accident Compensation Tribunal [VA 2778] and the Victorian Accident Rehabilitation Council [VA 2697].
